Do you travel internationally at least 1x per year? If so, you may want to seriously consider applying for the Global Entry program. It includes all the perks of TSA Pre-check and for an extra $15 you can get expedited entry back into the country at major U.S. airports! The total $100 fee covers you for 5 years too! Several credit cards such as American Express Platinum will even cover the fee for you when you charge it to that card. I think I held off applying for so long because I was dreading having to go into LAX for the interview.
