For this month’s beauty obsessions, I wanted to share all of my favorite drugstore products.   I have gone through a lot of trial & error with drugstore products to extract my go-to gems.  While there are many lower priced products that fall short of expectations or even cause skin irritations in my case, there are quite a few that works wonders!  Here are some of the drugstore beauty products that I can’t live without: (click Continue Reading button below)

  1. SKIN:  Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture Combination Skin – $9.59:  I absolutely love this moisturizer!  It is the perfect combination of hydration for my drier spots yet light enough for my oily areas.  Even after playing with multiple luxury moisturizing products, I always have this moisturizer on hand.  It’s also my husband’s fave too because he doesn’t like anything that feels heavy or greasy on his skin.  It’s also the one moisturizer we keep in our travel kit since we both use it.
  2. SKIN:  Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes – $4.49:  My favorite face wipes!  Gentle, non-oily, non-drying and they don’t cause me any skin or eye irritation.  (Now, this is a perfect time to mention a product that caused me a severe skin allergy… Say Yes to Cucumbers Facial wipes…. AVOID at all costs if you have sensitive skin!  My face turned bright red, itchy and caused my eyes to burn!)  Anyhow, back to these Neutrogena wipes… I love them!  I prefer the unscented light blue version to the calming nighttime lavender wipes which I like too, just not as much as these.
  3. SKIN:  Aveeno Ultra-Calming Cleansing Makeup Removing Wipes – $5.99:  These wipes are good to my skin also.  The main thing I prefer about the Aveeno wipes over the Neutrogena wipes is the packing – the Aveeno wipes have a plastic snap-seal that helps keep the wipes from drying out as quickly.  I haven’t had a problem with the Neutrogena wipes drying out on me since I use them every night and don’t leave them sitting around but the sticker seal tends to lose its stickiness over time and leaves them vulnerable to losing some of their moisture.  As a product though, I do prefer the Neutrogena wipes because they are unscented. The Aveeno wipes have a nice scent and do feel slightly more moisturizing though.  I tend to go back and forth between the 2 brands.  For travel purposes, I prefer the Aveeno wipes since they have the snap seal I mentioned.  However, Neutrogena does make smaller thin travel packs that are less bulky.  Toss up!
  4. SKIN:  Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Spot Gel – $7.79:  My pimple rescue staple!  This clear gel definitely helps reduce the size and redness of pimples quicker than most products I have tried.  I also like that it is clear because I like to add a nice amount on any trouble spots.
  5. SKIN:  Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion – $5.49:  While this is on the more expensive end of drugstore products, it works wonders for my sensitive skin.  It keeps me hydrated all day long and feels ultra soothing because of the oatmeal it contains.  My doctor even highly recommended this lotion to me after I had switched to another less expensive drugstore lotion and started noticing a rash.  Once I switched back to the Aveeno lotion, the rash went away within a day!
  6. SKIN:  Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner – $7.49:  After trying numerous expensive toners, this is the one I always come back to.  It makes my skin feel clarified with tighter pores without drying it out.
  7. SKIN:  Nuxe Rêve de Miel Lip Balm – $11.99: THE Best!  Love love love! I already reviewed this lip balm in a previous post but there is no way I could do a drugstore fave list without adding this heavenly lip balm again.  I have even used it as an ultra-hydrating eye balm in a pinch (not a directed use on the label but I love it that much).
  8. MAKEUP:  L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara in Blackest Black – $7.49:  At the strong recommendation of my friend, I tested this newbie out recently and fell in love!  I would say it most closely resembles Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara in performance and packaging, and it’s a fraction of the price! The result: nice thick, elongated and heavily color-coated lashes!
  9. SKIN:  St. Ives Nourished and Smooth Oatmeal Scrub & Mask – $2.99:  This product has probably been in my beauty arsenal the longest of any.  My favorite facial scrub that leaves no dry patch behind!
  10. HAIR:  It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product – $17.59:  Another product I have already previously posted about but again, I couldn’t leave this gem off my drugstore faves list.  It really does feel like a miracle all-in-one product by protecting, detangling and shine creating.  While it is on the more expensive side as far as drugstore products go, it can be found in the hands of many celeb stylists.  Worth the price tag!
