There’s nothing like a free Sephora Beauty Insider Birthday Gift to get you enticed to buy some new beauty goodies.  I generally don’t need much of a nudge to load my online cart but those fab freebies definitely help!  Here’s what’s got me obsessed this month (click the product links to buy):

  1. MAKEUP: Too Faced La Matte Color Drenched Matte Lipstick in “Sorry, Not Sorry” – $22: This lipstick is the perfect everyday go-to shade for me! It’s a peachy nude that doesn’t wash me out and is a true matte so it stays put! I love this color paired with MAC Boldly Bare liner. I wasn’t able to find this lipstick on Sephora so I had to buy it directly from Too Faced.
  2. MAKEUP: Smashbox Be Legendary Matte Lipstick in “First Time” – $21: Another great true matte lipstick! I’m loving this earthy warm terracotta / light clay color!
  3. MAKEUP: Bite Beauty Multistick in “Cashew” – $24: I got this as a sample in my last Sephora order and absolutely love this color for a natural wash on my eyes. It can also be used as a blush or lipstick! I love products that are multi-use like this! They are especially good for traveling… the fewer items you need to pack, the better! The full-size version will definitely be in my next order!
  4. MAKEUP: Sweat Translucent Mineral Powder with SPF 30 – $42 with twist brush ($24 for powder refill): I love that this product line was actually developed by Olympic athletes who know the limitations of regular makeup when working up a sweat.  While I would love to say I am one of those girls who goes to the gym bare-faced because it’s better for my skin, I’m not.  Most days I workout with a full face of makeup since I usually go at the end of the day.  The only real exception to that is if I was able to bypass hitting the snooze button on my alarm and I make it to the 6am Soul Cycle class.  Whether I am sweating it up running for an hour or taking a sculpt class, I have pretty much mastered that tissue dabbing, sweat-soaking technique so I don’t smear my makeup.  I was so excited when I saw that there was a beauty powder made to specifically stand up to sweat (at least it claims to do so for up to 40 minutes) while not clogging your pores. While this powder is not a full coverage formula, it does subtly smooth imperfections while also offering SPF protection.
  5. MAKEUP: Peter Thomas Roth Oily Problem Skin Instant Mineral Powder with SPF 30 – $30:  The words “Oily Problem Skin” reeled me in to this product.  This sheer mattifying formula is an all-in-one brush that contains the powder within the brush handle so it makes it convenient to carry in your purse for a shine-preventing touch-up or to add some SPF protection on the go.
  6. SKIN: KNC Beauty All Natural Collagen Infused Lip Mask – $24.99 for a 5-pack or $39.99 for a 10-pack: While not part of my last Sephora haul, I got this as a gift from my cousin Kenza who shares my obsession for hunting for the best of the best in beauty products. This mask definitely left my lips feeling more moisturized but not so sure about the plumping claims. I would definitely buy this mask again but I wish they found a way to make it stick a little better because I found myself fussing with it as I sat and waited the required 15-20 minutes.
  7. HAIR: Bumble & Bumble Full Potential Hair Preserving Serum – $60: I also restocked some of my fave items like this B&B hair treatment for thinning hair. Spray this on your roots when damp and comb through. It will help strengthen your hair so you keep more of it on your head where it belongs 😉
  8. MAKEUP: Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Primer – $32: This was another sample I received with my recent Sephora order. I put this primer to the test under the best scenario… after a night of bar hopping with friends. My dull, dehydrated tired skin looked so much more refreshed and vibrant after a dose of this good stuff! I will be adding a full-size version to my next shopping list.
  9. MAKEUP: Clinique Loose Blended Face Powder in “Transparency 3”- $25: I wanted to test out a new loose finishing powder and read some great reviews on this Clinique product. I actually was really impressed with the finish it left … good coverage without the caked on look even on top of the full coverage foundation I used. The only thing that needs improvement is the very cheap brush that comes with it. You definitely need to use a different brush when applying.
  10. NAILS:  LeChat Perfect Match Gel Polish & Nail Lacquer Set in “Mi Amour” – $14.63: Finally someone gets it! I love matching my toe color to my nails. I have always had the hardest time trying to find a regular nail polish that will match my gel polish on my hands. Perfect Match is exactly that! A nail polish set with 1 gel polish and 1 regular nail polish in the same color. My nail salon now carries this brand but I opted to by this color set just in case I ever switched up my nail salon and wanted to bring my own. I wish I had discovered the color “Mi Amour” before my wedding because it is the most perfect shade of light pinky nude! A wedding day must for sure!
